Neurodivergent Practitioners in Health & Care is a welcoming community for health and care professionals who identify as neurodivergent, whether formally diagnosed, self-identified, or exploring what neurodivergence means for them.
We welcome practitioners from all disciplines — including allied health professions, nursing, medicine, mental health, social care, education, public health, research, and beyond.
Although founded in the UK, members from all countries are warmly welcome. Diverse perspectives enrich our conversations and help us learn from one another.
Many neurodivergent professionals can feel isolated, misunderstood, or unsupported within workplaces, training environments, and professional cultures.
This community provides a space to:
✅ Connect with peers
✅ Share experiences
✅ Explore challenges and strengths
✅ Learn from one another
✅ Celebrate neurodivergent ways of thinking and working
✅ Build supportive professional networks
To help maintain a safe, supportive and inclusive environment, we ask all members to:
Answer the membership questions
Confirm they have read the group rules
Respect confidentiality and professional boundaries
Engage with kindness, curiosity and inclusion
To help us manage requests fairly, applications that do not answer the membership questions may be declined.
Neurodivergent Practitioners in Health & Care was founded by Matt Phillips to create a supportive space where neurodivergent professionals can connect, share experiences, and learn from one another.
Matt is an educator, podcaster, and neurodiversity advocate whose work explores thinking, communication, learning, and professional practice. Through Matt Phillips Education, he supports clinicians, educators, and other professionals to better understand themselves, each other, and the environments in which they work.
The community was created in recognition of the unique strengths, challenges, and perspectives that neurodivergent professionals bring to health and care. It continues to grow through the experiences, insights, and contributions of its members.
